*Responsibilities:*
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including detailed eye examinations, visual acuity testing, and diagnostic imaging (e.g., OCT, fundus photography, tonometry).
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of ocular diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.
- Perform advanced ophthalmic surgical procedures, including phacoemulsification, cataract extraction, vitrectomy, and refractive surgeries (e.g., LASIK, PRK).
- Provide pre - and post -operative care, including patient counseling, surgical planning, and follow -up monitoring.
- Utilize state -of -the -art diagnostic and surgical equipment to ensure accurate assessments and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, up -to -date patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with optometrists, retina specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education programs.
- Engage in community health outreach, including eye screening camps and public awareness campaigns on preventable blindness.

*Requirements:*
- MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MD/MS in Ophthalmology).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized eye care setting.
- Proven expertise in PHC (Primary Health Care) surgical practices with a focus on ophthalmic procedures.
- Certification or active registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Proficiency in performing cataract surgery using phacoemulsification techniques and other microsurgical interventions.
- Strong understanding of glaucoma diagnosis and management, including laser therapy and surgical options.
- Experience with retinal diagnostics and familiarity with treatment protocols for diabetic retinopathy and macular disorders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team -oriented, high -pressure clinical environment.
