*Responsibilities:*
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and retinal evaluations using advanced imaging modalities.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age -related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, and retinal dystrophies.
- Perform and oversee retinal laser treatments, intravitreal injections, and other minimally invasive procedures.
- Interpret and analyze results from OCT, fundus photography, and fluorescein angiography to guide treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other specialists in the pre - and post -operative care of patients undergoing vitrectomy and retinal surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital -wide medical reviews.
- Contribute to continuing medical education, case discussions, and training of junior medical staff and residents.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in retinal medicine and incorporate evidence -based practices into daily clinical work.

*Requirements:*
- MBBS degree with MD/MS in Ophthalmology or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Specialized training or certification in vitreoretinal surgery or retinal diseases (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of post -qualification clinical experience in ophthalmology with a focus on retina.
- Proficiency in performing intravitreal injections, laser photocoagulation, and interpretation of retinal imaging.
- Strong understanding of retinal disease pathophysiology and treatment protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex conditions to patients and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent).
