### *Responsibilities*
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic evaluations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.
- Perform ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation, as per hospital protocols and surgical standards.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), visual field analyzers, and retinal imaging systems.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, and post -operative care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital -based training programs.

### *Requirements*
- MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (D.O. or DNB in Ophthalmology).
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
- Minimum of 1 year of post -qualification clinical experience in a hospital or eye care setting.
- Proficiency in performing cataract surgeries and managing common ocular emergencies.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging and interpretation in ophthalmology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients and families.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient confidentiality, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Willingness to work in a fast -paced hospital environment with rotating shifts and on -call responsibilities.
