**Summary**

This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the packaging activities with shift Management and other support personnel. This job will plan and recommend changes in procedure and will lead productivity improvement efforts in their area. They will advise the Shift Manager of current conditions and support the Shift Managers accountability in their areas. This job will function primarily as a coordinator and facilitator of the routine operations of the Packaging Area. Knowledge is required in the area of statistics, quality standards, packaging methods, microbiology and labor relations.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Assists in the training of packaging personnel in the proper methods of equipment operation, record keeping, interdepartmental communication and all other necessary packaging procedures.

+ Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.

+ Ensures assigned functions such as packaging, specifications and procedure maintenance, etc., are handled in an accurate and timely manner.

+ Plan and coordinate the packaging activities with shift Management and other support personnel.

**Typical Education**

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

**Relevant Experience**

3+ years related experience and/or training
