Job Role


We are seeking a Patch Analyst with hands-on experience in enterprise patch management tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, Azure Update Manager, Foreman or any other tools and foundational knowledge of AWS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing patching operations across global data centers located in the US, UK, and Europe. This role demands a proactive approach to vulnerability remediation, compliance reporting, and stakeholder communication, with readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Implement and maintain standardized Windows security patching processes.

  • Review, coordinate, and deploy monthly security patches across client and server environments (Microsoft OS / Linux / Cent OS).

  • Log and manage incidents and changes, including CAB representation for remediation and re-deployment activities.

  • Deploy applications and patches using Foreman, Ivanti, Azure, and AWS; monitor and troubleshoot failed deployments.

  • Stay updated on IT security bulletins for Microsoft and third-party applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage emergency patching and scheduled changes.

  • Analyze vulnerability scan results and coordinate remediation efforts using appropriate tools.

  • Assess risks from vulnerabilities and develop treatment plans for mitigation.

  • Conduct compliance and configuration health checks.

  • Create and deliver compliance reports with commentary on gaps and progress.

  • Maintain documentation of patching procedures and ensure alignment across teams.

  • Own patch-related issues for specific customers and provide timely updates.

  • Develop and manage Master Patch Records to define scope, responsibilities, and patching frequency.

  • Investigate and respond to high-impact vulnerabilities and malware outbreaks.

  • Provide OS hardening recommendations and implement secure configurations.


 


Mandatory Skills:



  • 6–10 years of experience in patch management and deployment, with strong expertise in Windows/Linux OS patching.

  • Proficient in Windows OS / Linux administration, Ivanti,Foreman, SCCM, Azure Update Manager, and AWS patching workflows.

  • Experience in VMware environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic database knowledge (SQL, Oracle).

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change, Release, Incident, Problem Management).

  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and reporting.

  • Ability to generate and interpret compliance reports for management.

  • Skilled in stakeholder communication and influencing security best practices.

  • Experience in virtual environment management (VMware, vSphere).

  • Knowledge of security hardening practices and vulnerability management.


 


Essential Skills:



  • Deep understanding of Linux, Windows and non-Windows OS vulnerabilities and security updates.

  • Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, client/server architecture, and internet protocols.

  • Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell or equivalent scripting tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
