Job Description - Pediatrician

Posting Title: Pediatrician

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine physical examinations and developmental screenings for infants, children, and adolescents.
Monitor and document growth parameters including height, weight, head circumference, and developmental milestones.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric illnesses, including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, and chronic conditions.
Administer and maintain accurate records of immunizations and vaccination schedules in accordance with national and institutional guidelines.
Provide immediate and effective care during pediatric emergencies, including respiratory distress, seizures, and trauma.
Collaborate with NICU/PICU teams to manage critically ill newborns and pediatric patients requiring intensive care.
Deliver evidence -based parent counseling on nutrition, behavior, safety, and developmental concerns.
Maintain up -to -date medical records and ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning for complex pediatric cases.
Stay current with advances in pediatric medicine through continuous professional development and clinical updates.

Requirements:

MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DPaed or equivalent).
Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
Hands -on experience in pediatric outpatient and inpatient settings, including exposure to NICU/PICU care.
Proficiency in pediatric diagnosis, growth monitoring, and management of common childhood illnesses.
Strong understanding of immunization protocols and vaccination schedules (including national programs like UIP).
Demonstrated ability to handle pediatric emergencies with composure and clinical precision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous learning.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and digital health tools.
Willingness to work in a fast -paced clinical environment with rotating shifts and on -call duties as required.
