Performance Tester
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing performance tests to ensure optimal application speed, scalability, and reliability across web and mobile platforms. This role requires expertise in performance testing tools, cloud environments, and collaboration with development teams to optimize application performance.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Performance Testing
o
Design and execute performance tests for web and mobile applications.
o
Use tools like JMeter and Locust to assess application speed, scalability, and reliability.
2.
Mobile & Front-End Performance Optimization
o
Implement and test performance metrics for front-end responsiveness and mobile application performance.
o
Focus on improving app speed, load times, and resource usage.
3.
Monitoring and Analysis
o
Utilize Datadog to monitor and analyze performance metrics in real-time.
o
Identify and address performance bottlenecks to optimize application behavior.
4.
Cloud Infrastructure
o
Deploy, manage, and optimize test environments in Azure Cloud to replicate realistic production scenarios.
o
Ensure the infrastructure supports complex performance testing requirements.
5.
Scripting and Automation
o
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for load and stress testing.
o
Build reusable and efficient testing frameworks for mobile and front-end applications.
6.
Cross-Platform Collaboration
o
Work closely with front-end and mobile development teams to integrate performance testing within the development lifecycle.
o
Provide actionable insights to optimize code and application design.
7.
Documentation
o
Document testing processes, performance metrics, and findings.
o
Maintain detailed reports on test results, identified bottlenecks, and resolution steps.
8.
Continuous Improvement
o
Stay current with advancements in performance testing tools and techniques, particularly for web and mobile platforms.
o
Recommend and implement innovative strategies to enhance performance testing processes.
Qualifications and Skills
•
Technical Skills:
o
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, and Datadog.
o
Hands-on experience with cloud environments, specifically Azure Cloud.
o
Strong scripting skills for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or other relevant languages).
o
Familiarity with mobile and front-end performance optimization techniques.

QA Credentials:
o
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
o
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing within DevOps workflows.
o
Knowledge of manual/automation testing and other QA processes to complement performance testing.
•
Soft Skills:
o
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
o
A proactive mindset for identifying opportunities for process and application improvements.
Experience
•
Overall 8+ years. 3-5+ years of experience in performance testing for web and mobile applications.
•
Experience with cloud-based performance testing environments, preferably Azure Cloud.
•
Proven track record of optimizing front-end and mobile application performance.
Educational Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•
Relevant certifications in QA or performance testing (e.g., ISTQB, CP-SAT) are a plus.
