Udaya Public School is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable PGT Economics to join our Senior Secondary faculty. We are looking for an educator who can make economic concepts relevant, practical, and engaging while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among students. Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective Economics lessons for Classes XI–XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Develop lesson plans that encourage conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and real-world application of economic principles.
Conduct regular assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations to evaluate student learning.
Guide students in understanding microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, and the Indian economic system.
Integrate current economic developments, case studies, and digital learning resources into classroom teaching.
Maintain academic records and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student learning outcomes.
Participate actively in school events, examinations, faculty meetings, and professional development programs.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Economics from a recognised university, along with a mandatory B.Ed. qualification.
Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience as a PGT Economics in a CBSE or other reputed school. Exceptional freshers with outstanding academics may also be considered.
Strong knowledge of the CBSE Senior Secondary Economics curriculum, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economic Development, and Statistics for Economics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with effective classroom presentation abilities.
Ability to simplify complex economic concepts using practical examples and interactive teaching methods.
Proficiency in digital teaching tools, smart classroom technology, and MS Office/Google Workspace.
Excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
A passion for teaching, mentoring students, and preparing them for board examinations and future academic success.
