CBSE Physical Education Teacher

A Physical Education (PE) Teacher is responsible for fostering students' physical development, motor skills, and overall fitness through innovative and engaging physical education programs aligned with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will create an inclusive, supportive environment that motivates students to embrace a healthy, active lifestyle while adhering to CBSE guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Delivery:
   

   • Plan, design, and implement lesson plans that align with the CBSE Physical Education syllabus and promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and skill development.
     
   • Prepare students for CBSE practical and theoretical examinations in Physical Education.
     

2. Teaching and Training:
   

   • Teach a variety of sports, games, and fitness activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
     
   • Provide individualized support to students to enhance their physical and motor skill development.
     

3. Event Organization:
   

   • Organize and coordinate inter -school sports events, tournaments, and physical activity programs.
     
   • Facilitate the annual sports day and other physical education -related events.
     

4. Student Assessment:
   

   • Monitor, evaluate, and document student performance, progress, and physical fitness levels.
     
   • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents during regular progress reviews.
     

5. Health and Safety:
   

   • Promote safety standards and ensure all sports equipment and facilities are well -maintained and safe to use.
     
   • Educate students on injury prevention, first aid, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
     

6. Mentorship:
   

   • Identify and mentor talented students for competitive sports and guide them in achieving excellence.
     
   • Foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills among students.
     

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or equivalent.
  
• CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or STET qualification (preferred).
  
• Certification in coaching or sports training is an added advantage.
