Plant Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION – PLANT ACCOUNTING

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Plant Accounting Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of our plant. You will work closely with the accounting team and plant management to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain cost controls, and support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the plant, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor plant budgets and analyze variances to identify areas for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with plant management to develop financial forecasts and annual operating budgets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and manage the physical inventory process.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
• Provide financial analysis and support for capital expenditure projects and plant expansions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the accounting team.
• Filling TDS, GST and making of balance sheet.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant accounting or a similar role.
