Job Description - Plant HR

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 6-8 LPA)

Min Experience: 9 years

Location: Nagpur

JobType: full-time

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Plant HR Manager to lead Human Resources and Industrial Relations functions at a manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring smooth plant operations, strong workforce relations, statutory compliance, and a positive, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industrial Relations (IR) & Workforce Management

  • Maintain harmonious relationships between management and shop-floor employees
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Manage wage negotiations, settlements, and collective bargaining where applicable
  • Coordinate with local authorities, labor courts, and law enforcement agencies as required

2. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws

  • Ensure full compliance with labor laws including the Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Contract Labour (R&A) Act, Minimum Wages Act, and Pollution Control norms
  • Manage statutory audits, filings, returns, and maintenance of statutory registers
  • Liaise with government labor officials and factory inspectors

3. Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles including blue-collar workers, technical staff, and contract labor
  • Oversee employee onboarding, induction, and exit processes
  • Supervise time office operations, attendance tracking, leave management, and shift planning

4. Plant Administration & Employee Welfare

  • Oversee plant administration functions such as canteen, housekeeping, security, and transportation
  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of EHS standards across the facility
  • Drive employee welfare initiatives, engagement programs, and health camps

5. Performance Management & Training

  • Identify training needs and coordinate technical, safety, and compliance training programs
  • Support the performance appraisal process for plant employees
