Platform Engineer Payment Infrastructure

Our Payment Hub sits between merchants
and multiple payment providers. We want Platform Engineers who go beyond
traditional infrastructure work and understand the whole system: application
architecture, payment flows, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, networking,
observability and production operations. You will design, build, deploy,
operate and improve the platform alongside our backend and Rust engineers, with
end-to-end ownership.

The lifecycle you will work on: Merchant › API › Decision Engine › Routing › Gateway › Acquirer ›
Webhook › Reconciliation

What You Will Own

●       Platform for payment
services: build the runtime, tooling and guardrails
Payment Hub services depend on, in Rust / Go or Python.

●       Gateway and acquirer
operations: support provider connectors, provider
health monitoring, automated failover and handling of provider-specific
failures, timeouts and response codes.

●       Kubernetes and cloud: deploy and operate services with Docker and Helm; manage ingress,
networking, autoscaling, secrets, configuration, storage and resource limits on
GCP / AWS / Azure.

●       Observability: end-to-end visibility with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana,
Jaeger and ELK / OpenSearch so any transaction can be traced.

●       Reliability engineering: high availability, health checks, failure detection, retry and
timeout policy, capacity planning and incident response.

●       CI/CD and developer
platform: pipelines, safe deployment strategies
(canary / blue-green), automated rollback and internal tooling that make
Payment Hub engineers faster.

●       Security: TLS and mTLS, HMAC, encryption, IAM, secrets management, API
authentication and secure service-to-service communication.

●       Front-End Technology: Have experience
building scalable and efficient Front end .( Payment eco-systems preferred).

Networking Depth

• Troubleshoot HTTP/HTTPS,
  TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing, NAT, VPC, firewalls, service discovery,
  ingress/egress and Kubernetes networking.
  
• Istio, Envoy or other service-mesh experience is
  a strong advantage.
  
  

Requirements

What You Bring
(Must-Have)

●       3–8 years of software and
platform engineering with strong fundamentals.

●       Strong hands-on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience running production workloads.

●       Payment gateways, acquirers,
orchestration

●       Transaction state and payment
failure handling

●       Authorization / capture,
refunds / reversals

●       Webhooks and reconciliation

●       PCI-DSS concepts and payment
security

●       Fintech or banking production
exposure

●       Strong Linux and networking
fundamentals; Docker and CI/CD experience.

●       Experience with distributed
systems and microservices, including retries, idempotency, ordering and failure
recovery.

●       Programming experience in Go,
Rust, Python, Java or similar, and the ability to read application code and
work with backend engineers.

●       Strong debugging ability across
application, database, network and infrastructure layers.
