Mid-Level PL/SQL Developer

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level PL/SQL Developer with strong Oracle database expertise and hands-on experience leveraging modern AI-powered development tools such as Cursor and Claude. The ideal candidate will design, develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL programs while also utilizing Python for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
This role requires a strong foundation in database development, performance tuning, and AI-assisted coding workflows to improve productivity and code quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Write efficient, optimized SQL queries and ensure high-performance database operations.
- Perform query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance troubleshooting.
- Develop Python scripts for:
- Data processing and validation
- Automation of database tasks
- API integrations and ETL workflows
- Collaborate with application teams for seamless backend integration.
- Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to:
- Accelerate code generation and refactoring
- Perform AI-assisted code reviews
- Generate documentation and test cases
- Debug and optimize database logic
- Participate in database design, data modeling, and architecture discussions.
- Support production issues and implement enhancements.
- Follow best practices for version control, and release management.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle/MYSQL/Maria DB SQL and PL/SQL development
- Strong proficiency in Python (automation, scripting, data manipulation)
- Strong understanding of:
- Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers
- Cursors, Collections, BULK COLLECT, FORALL
- Exception handling
- Performance tuning and execution plans
- Experience with database performance optimization and indexing strategies
- Familiarity with version control systems
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
