Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases


• Monitor database performance and optimize queries


• Perform backup and recovery operations


• Manage database upgrades, patching, and migrations


• Ensure high availability and data security


• Troubleshoot database issues and support production systems


• Work closely with application and development teams

Required Skills

• Strong experience in PostgreSQL database administration
• Good knowledge of SQL and query optimization
• Experience in backup, recovery, and replication
• Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python) is preferred

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Exposure to other databases like MySQL/SQL Server
• Knowledge of automation tools
