Power BI Reporting Architect

Key Responsibilities 

Own end-to-end Power BI Architecture aligned to BW/HANA → Data Lake/Fabric → Power BI strategy. 

Lead Power BI Tenant Administration including policies, governance, and workspace lifecycle management. 

Drive standardization ensuring Power BI consumes only from curated and approved data layers. 

Eliminate direct source dependencies and enforce SSOT principles across reporting landscape. 

Design and enforce workspace, dataset, and reporting governance including Dev/Test/Prod structuring. 

Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to align data models and reporting needs. 

Lead rationalization of dashboards, datasets, and reporting assets. 

Implement CI/CD pipelines for structured deployment of Power BI artifacts. 

Ensure security and access governance using role-based and compliance-driven frameworks. 

Oversee capacity planning and optimization of Premium/Fabric resources. 

Enable governed self-service BI ensuring reuse and avoidance of data silos. 

Act as SME for architecture, performance, and data consistency issues. 

Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards. 

Support go-live, hypercare, and production environments. 

Drive adoption of new Power BI and Fabric capabilities aligned to enterprise roadmap.
