Power House - Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Maintenance
   

   • Ensure smooth and reliable operation of boilers, turbines, generators, compressors, and other utility equipment.
     

   • Implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules for power house equipment.
     

   • Monitor power generation, fuel consumption, load distribution, and efficiency parameters.
     

   • Maintain optimal fuel (coal, gas, diesel, biomass, etc.) management and utilization.
     

2. Energy Management
   

   • Monitor energy consumption across the plant and work on energy -saving initiatives.
     

   • Ensure cost -effective power generation and reduce dependency on external power purchases.
     

   • Prepare and analyze energy reports and KPIs for management review.
     

3. Safety & Compliance
   

   • Enforce statutory compliance related to boilers, pressure vessels, and electrical systems.
     

   • Ensure compliance with pollution control norms and energy regulations.
     

   • Conduct regular safety audits, drills, and training for the power house team.
     

4. Manpower & Team Management
   

   • Supervise engineers, operators, and technicians working in the power house.
     

   • Provide training and skill development for efficient operation and safety awareness.
     

   • Schedule manpower for continuous 24x7 operations.
     

5. Coordination & Communication
   

   • Work closely with production, maintenance, and utility departments to match power supply with plant requirements.
     

   • Coordinate with external agencies like electricity boards, pollution control boards, boiler inspectors, and statutory bodies.
     

6. Planning & Budgeting
   

   • Prepare annual budgets for fuel, power, and maintenance.
     

   • Plan and execute overhauls, modernization, or upgradation projects in the power house.
     

   • Suggest CAPEX for efficiency improvement projects (waste heat recovery, renewable energy integration, etc.).
     

7. Documentation & Reporting
   

   • Maintain logbooks, statutory records, inspection reports, and operating manuals.
     

   • Submit periodic energy reports to top management and statutory authorities.
