Position: Primary & Secondary Social Science Teacher

We are looking for an experienced Social Science Teacher to teach students at the Primary and Secondary levels. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and the ability to make subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Social & Political Life engaging, relevant, and interactive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.


• Teach age-appropriate concepts across History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and related Social Science topics, depending on the grade level.


• Use interactive and experiential teaching methodologies such as discussions, debates, projects, case studies, role plays, presentations, maps, timelines, and educational technology.


• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, presentations, and other teaching resources.


• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.


• Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate remedial or differentiated instruction.


• Integrate current affairs and real-world examples into lessons wherever appropriate.


• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas for improvement.


• Participate in examinations, school events, assemblies, educational trips, workshops, and other co-curricular activities.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, or a related Social Science discipline.


• B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification (Must)

• Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum, competency-based education, and experiential learning.


• Knowledge of NEP-aligned teaching and assessment practices will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience in a school.


• Experience teaching Social Science at the Secondary level till Grade 8.
