Position Summary

Kanakia International School, IGCSE, Bhayander is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and student-focused Maths & Science Teacher for Grades 1 and 2. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Mathematics while effectively integrating Science concepts through engaging, inquiry-based, and hands-on learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics as the major subject and Science to students in Grades 1 and 2.


• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary (IGCSE) curriculum.


• Develop students' numerical reasoning, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.


• Create an inclusive, interactive, and positive classroom environment.


• Use activity-based, experiential, and differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.


• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.


• Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.


• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.


• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, professional development programmes, and curriculum planning.


• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student learning outcomes.


• Ensure student safety, discipline, and well-being at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Mathematics, or a related field.


• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.


• Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum experience is preferred.


• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Primary Grades is preferred.
