Principal Architect

Role Overview

As a Principal Architect, you will be recognized as a senior technical authority within the organization, combining deep expertise in your own discipline with a strong working knowledge across adjacent domains. You will play a critical role in shaping product architecture, driving modernization, and defining the technology vision across multiple products and business segments. You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Act as a technical expert and thought leader, bringing in-depth expertise in your core discipline alongside broad knowledge across related engineering domains.
• Tackle unique, complex challenges with wide-reaching business impact, with accountability spanning multiple products, platforms, or business segments.
• Lead internal technical teams to design and deliver innovative, cutting-edge solutions, while establishing best practices, processes, and architectural standards.
• Maintain a deep understanding of product architecture, staying continuously informed of emerging technologies and market evolution, and proactively incorporating them into product strategy.
• Design architectures with a strong focus on Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), working closely with delivery teams to ensure all required abilities (performance, reliability, scalability, security, etc.) are fully met.
• Apply and advocate for evolutionary architecture principles, ensuring systems can adapt and grow with changing business needs.
• Drive cloud architecture initiatives, leveraging modern cloud platforms to enable scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Lead and contribute to product transformation and modernization efforts, guiding teams from legacy systems toward modern, data-driven and cloud-native architectures.
• Define and own the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product, aligning customer needs with organizational business strategy.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and advice across multiple products, business segments, networks, or platform-level initiatives.
• Solve highly complex problems requiring conceptual, analytical, and innovative thinking, translating ideas into practical, impactful solutions for the business.

Experience & Technical Background

• 15+ years of experience working with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, C#, and related frameworks.
• Strong, hands-on understanding of databases and data-driven architectures.
• Proven expertise in applying and selecting architectural patterns appropriate to scale, complexity, and business objectives.
