Principal BIM Technician Bridges (NL)

WSP India is currently seeking  Principle/Senior BIM Technicians to join our Structural  team located at our Bengaluru office. This role is to work as part of WSP GCC Netherlands as part of BIM team and take a role in the production of detailed structural modelling and drawings production in REVIT/Tekla Structures-Rebar Detailing appended with a  strong background knowledge of CADS RC Detailing and AutoCAD Knowledge.

• Lead the preparation of Engineering/Reinforcement Drawings using WSP CAD/ BIM Standards and Templates.


• Agree priorities & deadlines with Netherlands Team, organize work to ensure timely delivery.


• Align work with Quality requirements and maintain Document Control for all work.   


• Proactively raising queries, identifying necessary inputs from others & following up.  


• Develop templates and libraries for CAD / BIM work.


• Role will be working under the supervision of Team Leader or Principal BIM as necessitated.

• Prepare structural detailed and concept design RC detailing drawings for various structures/buildings and construction types to be built predominantly in Netherlands. 
• Responsible for BIM and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement
• Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
• Automate routines to support standards and productivity
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
• Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
• Maximizing utilization on projects
• Create Auto Connections and automated parameters in response to project requirements
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production through liaison with the Project Engineer and Netherlands team.

  Mandatory Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering
• Experience of having worked in a similar role and Structural Concrete and steel industry.
• Primarily its needed to have a strong Experience of working in REVIT or Tekla structures – Rebar Technology with a CADS RC previous experience/knowledge
• Knowledge of working in Tekla environment inclusive of Steel/Precast/Point cloud/ Cast in situ working models would be a preference.
• Assisting CAD/BIM Manager in Estimation and Costing of CAD/BIM projects based on client's inputs and to Prepare sketches / RFIs etc. as necessary for seeking clarification from Engineers in Sweden

• Good understanding of working for international codes and industry standards

  Desired Skills

• Competence in REVIT or Tekla Structures – Rebar Detailing/ CADS RC /AutoCAD

• Minimum Diploma in CAD with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• It is desirable that the candidate has obtained professional registration such as EngTech with ICE, UK or close to attaining the same.
