About Ankercloud
Ankercloud is a global technology consulting and implementation partner that helps ambitious
companies turn bold ideas into real products using cloud, data, AI/ML, and security. As a
Premier Tier Partner for both AWS and Google Cloud, Ankercloud works with customers across
regions and industries to design, build, and operate modern platforms that are secure, scalable,
and cost -efficient.
Role Overview
Ankercloud is hiring a Principal Cloud Architect (AWS / GCP) for professionals with 12+ years
of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, large -scale migration, and
infrastructure modernization. This role is designed for a senior technical leader who combines
deep hands -on expertise across cloud infrastructure, networking, security, resiliency,
automation, and platform engineering with strong consultative leadership for enterprise
customers.
The role operates at the intersection of infrastructure architecture, migration, modernization,
platform engineering, DevOps, security, and customer delivery. It requires the ability to
translate complex business problems into scalable, secure, and cloud -native infrastructure
solutions on AWS and Google Cloud while mentoring senior engineers and shaping architecture
standards across the organization.
What You Will Do
Lead Infrastructure Architecture and Delivery
â Own end -to -end infrastructure architecture across AWS and GCP, from discovery,
assessment, and target -state design to implementation oversight and transition to
operations.
â Translate business and technical requirements into reference architectures, design
documents, migration plans, and modernization roadmaps with clear trade -offs and
measurable outcomes.
â Define landing zones, multi -account or multi -project setups, network topology, identity
and access controls, observability, and reliability patterns for enterprise environments.
Drive Complex Migrations and Modernization
â Lead complex end -to -end infrastructure migrations such as on -premises to AWS or GCP,
cloud -to -cloud migrations, data center exits, and hybrid transformation programs.
â Architect and guide infrastructure modernization initiatives across compute, storage,
networking, IAM, backup and disaster recovery, automation, container platforms, and
operational tooling.
â Establish patterns and guardrails for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, backup and restore,
disaster recovery, resiliency engineering, and multi -region or high -availability designs.
Enable Platform Engineering and DevOps
â Infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to ensure
reproducible, versioned, and compliant environments.
â Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams on Kubernetes, Docker, and related tooling
to build secure, resilient, and observable infrastructure platforms.
â Define standards for logging, metrics, tracing, capacity planning, patching, governance,
and cost management to keep environments reliable and financially efficient.
Partner with Customers and Stakeholders
â Engage directly with customer executives, product leaders, infrastructure teams,
architects, and engineering stakeholders to understand pain points, constraints, and
success criteria.
â Act as a strategic consultant, clearly articulating solutions, roadmaps, migration
approaches, and trade -offs to both technical and non -technical stakeholders.
Lead and Raise the Bar
â Mentor, inspire, and lead cross -functional engineering teams by setting architecture
standards, reviewing designs, and fostering engineering excellence.
â Guide senior engineers and architects on solution design, migration planning,
stakeholder engagement, and ownership of complex infrastructure platforms.
â Drive continuous improvement through technology trends, best practices, and process
optimization across cloud, security, DevOps, and infrastructure operations.
â Enable competency development through workshops, knowledge sharing sessions,
accelerators, and reusable reference implementations.
â Ensure adherence to company guidelines, regulatory expectations, and industry
standards for security, compliance, governance, and operational resilience.
Who You Are
â 12+ years of hands -on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud and
infrastructure solutions, with strong focus on AWS and GCP.
â Proven track record as a principal -level or lead infrastructure architect delivering
complex, multi -team migration and modernization programs in a customer -facing,
consultative capacity.
â Demonstrated experience with large -scale infrastructure migrations, hybrid cloud
transformation, landing zones, resiliency architecture, disaster recovery, and
infrastructure standardization.
â Deep expertise in infrastructure as code, containerization, and DevOps practices
including CI/CD, automation, environment management, and operational governance.
â Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, identity, observability, reliability,
and cost optimization patterns on AWS and GCP.
â Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the
ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.
â Strong analytical and problem -solving abilities, with a bias toward practical, high -quality
solutions that can be operated and evolved over time.
â Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead distributed teams, and drive outcomes in a
fast -paced consulting environment.
Nice to Have
â Experience leading large and heterogeneous infrastructure migration programs across
enterprise environments.
â Exposure to cloud cost optimization, FinOps practices, and designing for
cost -performance trade -offs at scale.
â Experience with platform modernization using Kubernetes and cloud -native tooling in
production settings.
â Background in consulting or customer -facing delivery across industries such as
manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, or mobility.
What Should Excite You
â The opportunity to shape infrastructure strategy and architecture for a diverse portfolio
of customers rather than a single internal platform.
â Working with modern AWS and Google Cloud ecosystems, including security, networking,
observability, data, and platform workloads in real customer environments.
â Being part of a high -impact team that combines cloud, data, and AI/ML capabilities to
deliver differentiated solutions for global customers.
