The role focuses on designing, deploying, managing, and supporting Azure Stack HCI environments integrated with on-premises datacenters and Azure cloud services.\n\nThe ideal candidate has deep understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure, cluster operations, compute/storage/network virtualization, and can operate seamlessly across Azure Arc-enabled services, VMware platforms, and traditional datacenter technologies. \n \n \nAs a Principal Engineer, you will get to: \nAzure Local / Azure Stack HCI \n\u2022 Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Stack HCI clusters, core workloads, and lifecycle operations. \n\u2022 Implement Azure Arc for servers, Kubernetes, and SQL on top of Azure Local infrastructure. \n\u2022 Manage software-defined compute, storage, and networking (SDN) on Azure Stack HCI. \n\u2022 Configure Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), cluster networking, resiliency policies, and performance optimization. \n\u2022 Integrate on-prem HCI environments with Azure Monitor, Defender, Update Management, Backup, Site Recovery, and policy controls. \n \nVMware \u0026 NSX \n\u2022 Operate and maintain VMware environments including vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and VM lifecycle management. \n\u2022 Support NSX-T/NSX-V operations\u2014micro-segmentation, overlay networking, distributed firewall policies. \n\u2022 Assist in migration planning between VMware and Azure Local for compute/network/storage workloads. \n \nOn-Prem Datacenter \u0026 Hybrid Cloud \n\u2022 Manage physical servers, storage appliances, network switches, and datacenter-grade infrastructure. \n\u2022 Perform patching, configuration compliance, availability monitoring, and capacity planning across hybrid infrastructure. \n\u2022 Implement DR and backup strategies aligned with Azure and VMware recovery capabilities. \n\u2022 Coordinate with security teams to ensure adherence to compliance frameworks. \n \nOperations, Monitoring \u0026 Automation \n\u2022 Set up end-to-end monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent. \n\u2022 Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, or desired IaC tools. \n\u2022 Perform incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes. \n\u2022 Maintain CMDB/data accuracy and ensure operational runbooks are up to date. \n \n \nWhat we are looking for- \n \nCore Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI \n\u2022 Strong hands-on experience in Azure Stack HCI deployment, SDN, S2D, cluster management. \n\u2022 Azure Arc onboarding and administration skills. \n\u2022 Understanding of Azure Local SKU sizing, scale-out, and lifecycle management through Windows Admin Center. \n\u2022 Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN operations. \n\u2022 Knowledge of NSX-T/NSX-V, logical routing, distributed firewall rules, micro-segmentation. \n\u2022 VM migration strategies: VMware \u2194 Azure Local \u2194 Azure Cloud. \n \nOperating Systems \u0026 Platform \n\u2022 Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustering). \n\u2022 Linux basics for VM management on HCI/VMware. \n\u2022 Patch management, update policies, and OS hardening knowledge. \n \nPreferred Certifications \n\u2022 Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) \n\u2022 Azure Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801) \n\u2022 VMware VCP-DCV, VCAP, or NSX certifications \n\u2022 HCI-specific OEM certifications (Dell, Lenovo, HPE) \n\nWhat you can expect \nWe\u2019re legendary for taking care of you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
