We are looking for a Principal Experience Designer to help define and scale the next generation of AI-powered communication experiences. This role blends deep product thinking, strong design craft, and exceptional communication skills to shape how users discover value, express themselves, and grow with the platform over time.
Positioned within a growth-oriented design organization, this role focuses on building foundational user journeys, monetization touchpoints, and intelligent AI-led workflows. You will operate as a strategic design leader—shaping direction, influencing roadmaps, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and Content teams to deliver experiences that are both meaningful to users and impactful to the business.
What You’ll Do
Experience & Product Design Leadership
Define and design critical user journeys across onboarding, activation, engagement, and monetization.
Lead complex initiatives from ambiguous problem spaces to polished, production-ready experiences.
Craft intuitive, expressive interfaces with high attention to interaction quality, hierarchy, and clarity.
Drive early-stage and zero-to-one product concepts that expand the platform’s core value proposition.
Systems Thinking & Growth Impact
Design scalable experience frameworks that remain consistent across surfaces, features, and platforms.
Balance user needs with commercial goals by creating thoughtful, contextual growth and monetization flows.
Partner with data and experimentation teams to design experiences tied to measurable outcomes.
Explore and define new interaction paradigms for AI-assisted writing and communication.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate deeply with Product Managers and Engineers to shape product strategy and execution.
Work with UX Research to translate qualitative insights into actionable design decisions.
Partner with content, brand, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and tone.
Influence decision-making through strong narratives, clear design rationale, and compelling prototypes.
Design Culture & Mentorship
Act as a senior design voice across multiple teams or pods.
Coach and mentor designers to raise the bar on craft, thinking, and execution.
Contribute to design standards, principles, and long-term experience vision.
Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and high-quality design thinking.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience designing digital products, with significant time in senior or principal-level roles.
Formal education or equivalent professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, or a related field.
Strong interest in language, writing, and communication-centric experiences.
Deep expertise in interaction design, visual systems, and component-based design.
Proven ability to move fluidly between strategy, exploration, and execution.
Advanced prototyping skills to rapidly test and communicate ideas.
Experience designing across web and mobile platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
Experience designing AI-driven tools or creative productivity platforms.
Background in growth design, activation funnels, or monetization systems.
Multilingual abilities (German or Dutch a plus).
Experience working in data-informed or experimentation-heavy product teams.
