The Principal SAP Finance (FI) Business Analyst is a
senior-level functional expert responsible for leading financial process
design, solution architecture, and SAP FI configuration across global
enterprise environments. This role requires deep hands-on experience in SAP.
Financial Accounting processes and integration with Controlling, Procurement,
Sales, and Project Systems.

The Principal Analyst partners with Finance leadership,
Accounting teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and
scalable SAP Finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Financial Process Design & Leadership

·        Lead the end-to-end design and optimization of
SAP FI processes, including:

·        General Ledger (GL)

·        Accounts Payable (AP)

·        Accounts Receivable (AR)

·        Asset Accounting (AA)

·        Bank Accounting

·        Closing & Financial Reporting

·        Conduct requirements workshops with Finance
leaders and translate business needs into functional solutions.

·        Develop configuration strategies aligned with
Finance best practices and corporate controls.

·        SAP FI Configuration & Solution Delivery

·        Configure SAP FI components including chart of
accounts, tax configuration, validations/substitutions, automatic postings, and
payment programs.

·        Design and manage integrations with:

·        SAP CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal
Orders)

·        SAP MM (Invoice Verification, GR/IR)

·        SAP SD (Billing & AR)

·        SAP PS (Project Financials)

·        Create functional specifications for
enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports (WRICEF).

·        Project & Implementation Leadership

·        Lead SAP FI workstreams for implementations,
rollouts, upgrades, and S/4HANA conversions.

·        Drive testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT) and
oversee defect management.

·        Support data migration, mapping, and validation
activities.

·        Ensure alignment with corporate financial
controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.

·        Production Support & Continuous Improvement

·        Provide Tier-3 support for complex financial
issues.

·        Optimize closing processes, payment workflows,
and financial reporting.

·        Monitor system performance and recommend
process improvements.

·        Train Finance teams and develop user
documentation.

Required Qualifications

·        10–14 years of experience as an SAP FI
functional consultant or business analyst.

·        Deep configuration experience in SAP FI
including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Banking.

·        Strong understanding of financial principles,
compliance, and accounting standards.

·        Hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP
S/4HANA Finance.

·        Experience with integrations across MM, SD, CO,
and PS.

·        Ability to translate complex financial
requirements into SAP solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Universal Journal,
New Asset Accounting, Fiori for Finance).

·        Experience with Central Finance is a strong
plus.

·        SAP FI certification preferred.

·        Strong analytical, communication, and
stakeholder-management skills.

·        Experience in global template design and
multi-country rollouts.
