We are looking for an experienced Principal Wealth Advisor to provide comprehensive, goal-based financial planning and wealth advisory services to high-value clients. The role focuses on understanding each client’s financial objectives, risk profile, current financial position, and long-term milestones to develop practical and personalised wealth strategies.

You will work across investment planning, retirement planning, tax and estate considerations, budgeting, debt management, and long-term wealth creation. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial planning expertise with excellent client-management skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Wealth Advisors and the advisory team to deliver high-quality financial planning and wealth advisory services.
• Develop comprehensive financial plans covering investments, retirement, tax, estate planning, budgeting, debt management, and wealth creation.
• Assess clients’ financial positions, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, cash flows, and investment portfolios.
• Evaluate client risk profiles, financial objectives, life goals, and key milestones when developing recommendations.
• Review and validate financial planning work prepared by Wealth Advisors to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with client requirements.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through regular communication and ongoing financial guidance.
• Understand clients’ changing financial circumstances and proactively identify relevant planning opportunities.
• Translate financial analysis and recommendations into clear, practical, and actionable strategies.
• Develop and implement action plans based on clients’ financial objectives and agreed recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of financial plans and coordinate with relevant stakeholders where required.
• Support clients throughout the year and review financial plans as their circumstances, goals, or risk profiles evolve.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality client advisory experience.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure financial planning recommendations are well-supported and aligned with established advisory principles.
• Stay current with developments in financial planning, investment products, taxation, retirement planning, and wealth management practices.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, private wealth, or a closely related client-facing financial role.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA from a leading business school is mandatory.
• Additionally, one of the following qualifications is required or strongly preferred:
• CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CWM (Chartered Wealth Manager); or
• CFA Level II cleared or CFA Level III candidate.
• Strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management principles.
• Experience analysing investments, financial statements, cash flows, assets, liabilities, and client portfolios.
• Strong understanding of risk profiling and goal-based financial planning.
• Ability to develop practical financial strategies across investments, retirement, tax, estate planning, and wealth creation.
• Experience in a client-facing wealth advisory environment with strong relationship-management responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and client-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to clients and other stakeholders.
• Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with Wealth Advisors and multidisciplinary advisory teams.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership of client outcomes and advisory responsibilities.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Willingness to work full-time from the Andheri office in Mumbai.
