The Pro Vice Chancellor provides strategic academic leadership and plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall educational vision and institutional excellence of the University. This position is responsible for strengthening the academic framework, enhancing student experience, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.

As a key member of the Executive Board, Senate, and other statutory committees, the Pro Vice Chancellor contributes directly to institutional strategy, governance, policy implementation, and academic quality assurance. The role is central to advancing the University’s mission, upholding its core values, and driving continuous improvement across academic and administrative domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership across academic programs and educational initiatives.
• Lead the implementation of institutional strategies aligned with long-term academic and research goals.
• Strengthen academic governance, curriculum development, and quality assurance mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with national regulatory and accreditation bodies including AICTE, UGC, NBA, NAAC, and JNTU norms.
• Oversee academic planning, faculty development, and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Promote innovation in teaching, learning methodologies, and research integration.
• Support student success initiatives to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Represent the University in academic forums, accreditation reviews, and external engagements.
• Work collaboratively with Deans, Heads of Departments, and administrative leadership to drive institutional excellence.

Eligibility & Experience

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (mandatory).
• Minimum 25+ years of progressive experience in higher education leadership and academic administration.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and accreditation processes (AICTE, UGC, NBA, NAAC, JNTU).
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, governance, and institutional development.
