In data governance at PwC, you will focus on establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to optimise the quality, integrity, and security of data. You will be responsible for optimising data management processes and mitigate risks associated with data usage.

The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.

As part of the US Chief Data Office team you support the strategic priorities of the organization by advocating for responsible and impactful data use. As a Senior Associate, you guide the execution of key functions including collaboration on process mapping and improvement, managing access to data assets, and triaging new data requests while maintaining institutional knowledge.

Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities for process enhancements across teams

- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements

- Analyze data to inform decision-making and strategy

- Mentor team members on exemplary practices in data management

- Develop and maintain documentation for processes

- Maintain compliance with data governance standards

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team

- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of enhancements

What You Must Have

- Bachelor's Degree

- 4 years of experience in data management or related field

- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

- Certifications in Data Governance or Data Management preferred

- Demonstrating abilities in Enterprise Data Management programs

- Understanding Data Governance Frameworks like DCAM and DAMA

- Preparing process maps using BPMN tools like VISIO

- Creating functional documents such as BRDs

- Applying access and authorization concepts to data assets

- Familiarity with Data Quality frameworks and Data Stewardship

- Basic understanding of Data Regulatory Standards like GDPR
