Procurement Analyst - Capital Projects

Role Purpose Statement

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst, Capital Expenditures (CapEx), is a key contributor to the Global Strategic Sourcing organization, supporting procurement initiatives that drive value, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across the enterprise. This role partners with regional and global stakeholders to support sourcing strategies, supplier management activities, and procurement processes for capital projects, manufacturing equipment, facilities, engineering services, construction, and other CapEx-related spend categories.

The Analyst will leverage market intelligence, spend analytics, and sourcing tools to support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier evaluations. Working closely with category managers, project teams, and business partners worldwide, this role will contribute to the development and execution of global sourcing strategies while ensuring alignment with business objectives, project timelines, and procurement best practices.

This position offers exposure to global procurement operations, supplier relationship management, contract development, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic international environment."

Main Accountabilities

• Support the development and execution of global and regional sourcing strategies for CapEx categories, including manufacturing equipment, facilities, engineering services, construction, automation, and related capital investments.


• Partner with global stakeholders to understand project requirements, business objectives, timelines, and sourcing opportunities.


• Conduct spend analysis, supplier market research, benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities.


• Manage and support Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes utilizing e-sourcing tools and procurement systems.


• Analyze supplier proposals, commercial models, total cost of ownership, and bid comparisons to support sourcing recommendations.


• Assist in the identification, tracking, and reporting of cost savings, cost avoidance, and value-generation initiatives.


• Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and risk assessment activities to ensure alignment with company standards and business needs.


• Collaborate with Category Managers and Procurement leadership on category planning, supplier strategy development, and pipeline management.


• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing analytics, market data, financial evaluations, and negotiation support materials.


• Assist with contract development, implementation, and compliance monitoring in collaboration with legal, finance, engineering, and operations stakeholders.


• Support cross-functional project teams in the procurement of capital equipment and services to ensure timely project execution.


• Develop and maintain sourcing dashboards, reports, and procurement metrics to support decision-making and performance management.


• Foster productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple regions and business functions.


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of global procurement processes, tools, and best practices."

Technical

• Experience supporting sourcing projects, supplier evaluations, contract administration, or procurement processes.


• Exposure to Capital Expenditure (CapEx), manufacturing, engineering, facilities, construction, or industrial categories preferred.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data, supplier proposals, market trends, and financial information."

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline.


• 2+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, project procurement, engineering, manufacturing, or related business experience. "
