Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Engineer at Sprint Integrated Solutions. The procurement engineer for electrical and electronic equipment is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electrical and electronic components and systems. This role involves evaluating suppliers, creating purchase orders, analysing data, managing procurement processes, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of materials required for the company's operations and projects. They will also be involved in preparing and managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Evaluation and Selection:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers specializing in electrical and electronic components.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list for electrical and electronic equipment.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for electrical and electronic materials, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays or discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment for electrical and electronic components.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring all terms are met and adhered to.
  • Resolve any contract disputes in a timely and efficient manner.

Cost Management and Analysis:

  • Conduct cost analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities for electrical and electronic components.
  • Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising on quality and performance.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all purchased electrical and electronic components meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality improvement initiatives.

Technical Support and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to understand material requirements and budget constraints.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and suppliers.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution, especially for electrical and electronic components.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain for electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a focus on electrical and electronic components.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional travel to supplier sites and company facilities.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or resolve issues.
