About role
Kapiva is recruiting a Procurement/Third Party Vendor Management with at least 4 years of experience in FMCG New product launch and manufacturing.
The scope of this role is to ensure that all product launches are seamless with owning the end-to-end execution right from coordinating with multiple stakeholders internally namely the Packaging team, R&D Team, Planning team, Marketing team, and external vendors and manufacturers.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
Project Management
• Closely work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and ensure on-time project
completion.
• Get into details of product launches, identify bottlenecks leading to delays, and problem-
solve with the right stakeholders.
• Prepare a Gant chart of procurement and vendor development-related projects and
coordinate periodic meetings with stakeholders for on-time project execution.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
• Develop new contract manufacturers, Raw materials vendors, and packaging material
vendors
• Resolve supplier issues and manage relationships to ensure compliance with agreements.
• To lead contracting with inputs from legal & user departments.
• Coordinate and visit manufacturing premises and ensure all processes are in place for
launches and new product development.
Cost Negotiations:
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
• Manage market cost fluctuations and negotiate for minimization of impact
• Send RFQs, take quotations, negotiate, and finalize new product costing
• Negotiate and execute short-term supply and price agreements.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the FMCG/Food industry procurement role.
• Education: BE/B Tech/MBA-Supply Chain/Operations
• Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
• Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
• Experience in contract farming/Agri background will be an added advantage.
