Earthood is looking for a Product
Associate | Technical Product & Strategy to work closely with Product,
Technology and Business teams to build, improve and maintain digital products
and internal technology platforms.
This role is ideal for a fresher or
early-career candidate with a strong technical foundation and an interest
in Product Management. You will work closely with engineering teams to
understand systems, translate business problems into technical requirements,
analyse data and APIs, test features, troubleshoot issues and contribute to the
development of scalable digital solutions.
The role provides exposure to product
development, software architecture, APIs, databases, automation, system
integrations and climate-tech/MRV platforms.
● Work closely with Product and
Technology teams to understand business problems and convert them into clear
product and technical requirements.
● Analyse existing systems,
workflows and processes to identify product gaps, inefficiencies and
opportunities for automation.
● Create detailed functional
requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, business rules and
validation logic.
● Work with Engineering teams
during solution design, development, testing and deployment.
● Understand and work with REST
APIs, JSON payloads, webhooks, API endpoints and system integrations.
● Analyse data flows between
different systems and understand dependencies between applications, databases
and services.
● Use SQL to query
databases, validate data, investigate issues and support product
troubleshooting.
● Use browser developer tools,
API testing tools and logs to investigate and reproduce product issues.
● Participate in debugging
discussions with engineers and help identify the root cause of functional and
integration issues.
● Work with Git/GitHub and
understand basic software development and version-control workflows.
● Design and document product
workflows, API flows, system interactions and process diagrams.
● Support UAT, regression
testing and feature validation, including identification of edge cases and
unexpected scenarios.
● Validate API responses,
database records and system behaviour against defined requirements.
● Coordinate bug reporting,
prioritisation, testing and resolution with Technology teams.
● Contribute to the development
and enhancement of internal platforms, dashboards, automation workflows and
client-facing digital products.
● Identify repetitive manual
processes and explore opportunities for automation using APIs, scripts or
workflow tools.
● Participate in product
planning, feature prioritisation and technical discussions.
● Support product demonstrations
and technical walkthroughs for internal stakeholders.
● Maintain clear technical and
product documentation for features, workflows, APIs and system processes.
● Basic to intermediate SQL — querying, filtering, joins, aggregations and data validation.
● Understanding of REST APIs,
HTTP methods, status codes, JSON and API authentication.
● Understanding of webhooks
and API-to-API integrations.
● Basic understanding of databases,
relational data models and data flows.
● Basic programming knowledge in Python,
JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks.
● Ability to read and understand
existing code, even if not primarily working as a developer.
● Familiarity with Git and
GitHub.
● Familiarity with Postman or
similar API testing tools.
● Ability to use browser
Developer Tools for basic debugging.
● Understanding of frontend/backend
architecture and client-server communication.
● Understanding of basic authentication
and authorisation concepts such as API keys, tokens and sessions.
● Understanding of SDLC,
Agile/Scrum, testing, UAT, debugging and release processes.
● Ability to create technical
documentation, flow diagrams and product specifications.
● Experience building a small
application, API, automation or personal technical project.
● Familiarity with Python,
JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js or FastAPI.
● Understanding of React or
modern frontend frameworks.
● Familiarity with PostgreSQL,
MySQL or another relational database.
● Basic understanding of cloud
platforms, deployment and hosting.
● Familiarity with Docker or
containerisation.
● Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs,
automation or data engineering.
● Experience using Jira, Linear,
Notion or similar product/project management tools.
● Understanding of micro services,
queues or event-driven systems.
● Interest or academic exposure
to climate-tech, ESG, carbon markets, MRV or sustainability.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or a related
technical field, or equivalent technical qualification.
● 0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
● Strong fundamentals in
programming, databases and web technologies.
● Strong analytical and
problem-solving ability.
● Ability to understand technical
systems and communicate effectively with engineers.
● Ability to break down ambiguous
business problems into structured technical and product requirements.
● Strong attention to detail,
especially when working with data, APIs and system workflows.
● Willingness to learn new
technologies and understand unfamiliar codebases and systems.
● Ability to take ownership of
tasks and work independently.
● Strong written and verbal
communication skills.
