Product Definition Analyst 3

Key Responsibilities

A. Requirements & Functional Analysis

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Perform gap analysis and impact assessment for new features and enhancements
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and delivery outputs

B. Solution Definition & Design

• Contribute to solution design and functional architecture
• Define API contracts, data flows, and integration patterns for hotel distribution systems
• Ensure alignment with product vision, domain architecture, and existing ecosystems
• Collaborate with architects and developers in designing scalable solutions
• Ensure solutions support scalability, performance, and partner integration needs

C. Specification & Documentation

• Produce and maintain:
  • Functional specifications
  • API specifications
  • Data models & workflows
  • User guides and documentation
• Ensure documentation provides clarity across distributed teams and stakeholders

D. Agile Delivery Support

• Support Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews)
• Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritization
• Clarify requirements for development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Review test plans and assist in validation of delivered features

E. Testing, Validation & Quality

• Define acceptance criteria and support functional validation
• Participate in test case reviews and defect analysis
• Investigate production issues and support resolution
• Ensure delivered features meet business expectations and quality standards

F. Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key liaison between business, product, and engineering teams
• Facilitate discussions to align on requirements, scope, and priorities
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional and distributed teams

• Reduced rework through clear requirement definition
• Strong alignment between business needs and delivered functionality
• Improved delivery predictability and product quality

Required Skills & Competencies

Functional & Technical

• Strong skills in:
  • Business analysis & requirement engineering
  • API/interface understanding (REST, JSON, etc.)
  • Data modelling and system integration concepts
• Familiarity with Agile / SAFe methodologies

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in travel or hospitality distribution (preferred)
• Understanding of:
  • Booking lifecycle (search → book → pay → service)
  • Supplier/provider integrations
  • Distribution platforms

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to work in cross-functional environments
