About the Role
The Product Manager – Workday Integrations (Payroll & Benefits) is part of the Enterprise Applications / HR, Legal & Compliance Systems team within the Digital & Tech (D&T) CTO organization.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing integrations between Workday (Core HR system) and Payroll/Benefits vendors (e.g., ADP, SDWorx), ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant HR tech operations.
Role Responsibilities
Define and align product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Workday Payroll & Benefits integrations
Lead prioritisation, planning, and end-to-end delivery of integration solutions using Agile and waterfall methodologies
Design, implement, and optimize integrations between Workday and external Payroll/Benefits vendors and related technologies
Provide technical leadership and guidance to product teams, architects, and stakeholders on integration design and feasibility
Ensure all integrations are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture, data governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX)
Own and maintain technical artifacts such as design specifications, architecture documentation, and continuity plans
Manage integration lifecycle including build, testing, deployment, change management, and SaaS release updates
Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security of data exchange across upstream and downstream systems
Monitor product performance, measure success, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with HR teams, global stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of integration and system issues
Conduct data analysis and provide insights to improve product and integration performance
Drive adoption of standard integrations and promote best practices across the HR tech landscape
Manage product financials and operational aspects where applicable
Basic Qualificaitions:
Certification in Workday Integrations (including Workday Studio)
Strong expertise in Workday integration tools:
PECI, EIB, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services
Hands-on experience with:
Payroll/Benefits integrations (e.g., ADP, SDWorx)
Integration security (OAuth 2.0, OpenPGP, x509)
Proficiency in:
JSON, XML, Java, Python, or JavaScript
Experience with tools:
Postman, SOAP UI, Oxygen
5+ years of enterprise experience in:
Workday integrations & HR tech landscape
Experience in:
Designing, building, and supporting integrations
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Data management and secure data transfer
Knowledge of:
ITIL frameworks and global service environments
Compliance standards (e.g., SOX)
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Experience working in global, multicultural environments
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday Payroll certification or experience
Exposure to:
Workday Extend
Workday reporting (BIRT)
Experience with global payroll technologies (e.g., GPCP)
Familiarity with product tools:
Jira, Aha!
Certifications in:
PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Product Owner
Experience in:
Large global FMCG/FMHG organizations
Global deployment and localization strategies
Strong experience managing third-party vendors and service providers
