We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Product Head – Mutual Funds to lead our mutual fund product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in mutual fund products, SEBI regulations, and investment strategies, combined with strong sales acumen and product management experience. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive product growth, optimize offerings, and work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end responsibility for the mutual fund product line, including strategy, planning, execution, and performance tracking.
Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals, market trends, and regulatory guidelines (SEBI).
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps, new opportunities, and trends in the mutual fund space.
Collaborate with AMC (Asset Management Company) partners to design, launch, and optimize mutual fund products tailored to target customer segments.
Work closely with sales teams to drive product adoption, support business development initiatives, and enable revenue growth.
Define product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies in consultation with senior leadership and marketing teams.
Monitor product performance using KPIs, customer feedback, and analytics to inform product enhancements or redesigns.
Ensure compliance with all SEBI regulations and internal risk policies while managing the product lifecycle.
Lead cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth execution of product initiatives.
Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7–11 years of experience in mutual funds, investment products, or financial services, with at least 3–5 years in a product management or leadership role.
Strong understanding of mutual fund operations, AMCs, investment products, and SEBI regulations.
Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing successful product launches in the mutual fund or investment domain.
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable product strategies.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of market trends and investor behavior.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or equivalent degree in Finance, Business, or related fields.
Prior experience in AMCs, wealth management firms, or leading mutual fund platforms.
