The Product Manager for Core Products is responsible for owning and managing the company’s core product portfolio while ensuring alignment and convergence with our growth products. This role focuses on stabilizing, optimizing, and protecting existing revenue streams, while actively supporting product transition strategies that reduce complexity and enable long-term growth. The Product Manager acts as a strategic bridge between core platforms and next-generation solutions, partnering closely with Engineering, Product Leadership, Sales, Support, and Professional Services.

Experience
• 7–10 years total experience in Product Management • 3–5 years owning mature or legacy enterprise SaaS products • Demonstrated experience supporting product transitions, migrations, or portfolio rationalization
Core Responsibilities
• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for assigned core products • Ensure product stability, reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction • Prioritize maintenance, enhancements, and defect resolution aligned to revenue retention and margin protection • Define and track KPIs such as churn, adoption, support volume, and gross margin • Represent the voice of the customer for legacy users across product and leadership discussions
Portfolio Alignment & Convergence
• Partner with Product Leadership to execute product convergence and migration strategies • Define clear positioning between core and growth products to reduce overlap and confusion • Support customer transition planning, including migration paths and end-of-life strategies • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and operational complexity across the portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Engineering to balance investment between sustainment and convergence initiatives • Collaborate with Product Marketing on messaging, customer guidance, and field enablement
• Partner with Sales, Support, and Professional Services to ensure consistent execution and communication • Provide clear, data-driven updates to leadership on product health and convergence progress
Tech Stack & Tools
• Product management and roadmapping tools (Aha!, Productboard, or equivalent) • Agile delivery tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent) • Analytics and reporting tools for usage, adoption, and churn • API and integration awareness to support platform alignment • Collaboration tools for distributed teams
Skills & Qualifications
Required: • Strong product lifecycle management experience SaaS products • Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities Preferred: • Experience with ERP or complex B2B platforms • Background in portfolio convergence, modernization, or cloud migration initiatives • Familiarity with financial and operational KPIs tied to product performance
