Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain to lead product development and digital transformation initiatives. The candidate should have current end-to-end product development experience in the Life Insurance domain and should be working in a product-based organization. The role involves managing the complete product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving digital transformation, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute product roadmaps for Life Insurance products and digital solutions
  
  


• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and development to implementation and post-launch improvements
  
  


• Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, IT, and other cross-functional teams
  
  


• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
  
  


• Prepare and manage detailed BRDs and FRDs for product development
  
  


• Work closely with technology teams to enhance and integrate Life Asia core systems
  
  


• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and regulatory assessments
  
  


• Drive digital transformation and improvements across insurance products and customer journeys
  
  


• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and applicable industry standards
  
  


• Monitor product performance metrics and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights
  
  


• Identify opportunities for product innovation and process improvement
  
  


• Manage stakeholder communication and ensure timely delivery of product initiatives
  
  

Key Skills and Qualifications

• 8–20 years of overall experience in Product Management
  
  


• 8+ years of experience in Product Management with 6+ years in the Life Insurance domain
  
  


• Mandatory current end-to-end product development experience in Life Insurance
  
  


• Mandatory experience working in a Product-Based organization
  
  


• Strong experience in preparing and managing BRDs and FRDs
  
  


• Hands-on experience with Life Asia or other core Life Insurance platforms
  
  


• Strong knowledge of digital transformation and policy administration systems
  
  


• Experience in customer journey optimization
  
  


• Good understanding of Life Insurance processes including underwriting, claims, sales, and policy administration
  
  


• Proficiency in Agile methodologies
  
  


• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
  
  


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  
  


• Good understanding of IRDAI regulations and Life Insurance industry standards
