Product Manager Digital Identity & Access Management

Role Summary:

As a key member of the Product Management team, you will develop a deep understanding of user personas in the Indian Mutual Fund Industry and drive innovative IAM solutions that enhance security, compliance, and user experience. You will collaborate with engineers to define, build, and launch IAM features while ensuring regulatory and security best practices. Additionally, you will partner with product leadership to shape product strategy and drive execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Business Line Product Managers and Sales Teams to understand Digital Identity, Access Management, and Verification problem statements.


• Engineering Partnership: Collaborate effectively with engineers to design and implement platform-level IAM solutions, ensuring compliance and security best practices.


• Domain Modeling: Create and refine domain models as needed to support IAM and identity verification solutions.


• IAM Architecture Evolution: Continuously identify areas for improvement in the IAM setup and drive ongoing enhancements to IAM architecture and security policies.


• Regulatory Compliance: Develop a strong understanding of regulations governing identity verification and access management in the Mutual Funds domain (e.g., SEBI KYC/AML requirements).


• User Persona Understanding: Build a deep knowledge of different user personas in the Mutual Fund industry to drive user-centric IAM and verification solutions.

Experience Required:

• Hands-on IAM Expertise: Must have deep, hands-on experience in solving complex IAM problem statements and should be able to demonstrate real-world implementations.


• Software Engineering Background (Preferred): A software engineering background is beneficial to effectively collaborate with engineers and solve IAM challenges at a platform level.


• Product Management or Equivalent Experience: Prior Product Management experience is required, OR equivalent engineering experience solving critical IAM problems at scale will be considered.


• Proven High Agency: Must have demonstrable instances of high ownership and proactive problem-solving, driving initiatives independently.


• Regulatory & Compliance Understanding: Experience working in regulated industries (preferably financial services or mutual funds) and familiarity with compliance, security, and regulatory best practices for identity verification.


• Minimum 5 Years of Experience: At least 5 years of total work experience, with a significant focus on IAM, security, compliance, or related fields.

Skills Required:

• Deep understanding of IAM concepts, including authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, and privileged access management (PAM). 


• Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC). 


• Knowledge of KYC, AML, and SEBI regulations related to digital identity in the Mutual Funds domain is preferred


• Ability to assess and mitigate identity-related security risks. 


• Understanding of IAM protocols and APIs for integration with platforms. 


• Experience in domain modeling to create structured IAM architectures. 


• Strong decision-making skills in balancing security, compliance, and user experience.


• Clear and concise communication skills to explain IAM concepts to non-technical teams.


• Strong skills in requirement gathering, backlog prioritization, and feature definition.
