This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Smart Building Platform based in India.
This is a high-impact product leadership role focused on shaping the future of intelligent building operations through a unified Smart Building Platform. You will own the end-to-end product strategy for systems that connect IoT devices, building management systems, and operational data into actionable intelligence for enterprise clients. The role sits at the intersection of physical infrastructure and digital transformation, where real-world building operations are reimagined through data, automation, and AI. You will work on products that directly improve energy efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and occupant experience across large-scale real estate portfolios. A key part of the role involves defining integration strategies across complex third-party systems while ensuring seamless first-party platform experiences. This is a hands-on, strategic position where you will influence both product direction and technical execution in a fast-evolving AI-enabled environment.
Accountabilities:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for the Smart Building Platform across multiple enterprise and operational use cases.
- Define and prioritize features that unify IoT data, building management systems, and operational analytics into actionable workflows.
- Design and drive integration strategies across BMS, BAS, IoT sensors, and CMMS platforms, including protocol-level considerations and system boundaries.
- Build and ship AI-powered capabilities such as agentic workflows, natural language query systems, anomaly detection, and automated operations.
- Develop high-quality product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prototypes to accelerate validation and delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and data teams to translate requirements into scalable, reliable, production-grade systems.
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and product analytics frameworks to measure platform impact and adoption.
- Conduct customer discovery with facilities teams, enterprise clients, and operational stakeholders to inform product direction.
- Lead cross-functional execution across product, engineering, and operations teams through agile delivery cycles.
- Represent the product in executive discussions, roadmap planning, and client-facing engagements.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of product management experience shipping technical or enterprise-grade software products.
- Strong technical fluency with APIs, data models, integration architecture, and system design principles.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots, or similar) to accelerate product development and decision-making.
- Experience owning product roadmaps from discovery through launch in Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Ability to define and translate complex technical requirements into clear product specifications and workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience defining KPIs, interpreting data, and driving product decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments with multiple system dependencies.
- Bonus: Experience in smart buildings, IoT platforms, BMS/BAS systems, or facilities management tools.
