Product Owner

• As Sr Software Engineer, you will be focusing on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Mainframe based application (SAVE and SOVID application) and be able to support the modernization of 50+ year old legacy mainframe into Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will leverage your expertise in both online and Batch Data processing / Engineering Pipeline to support the production support, Business support, maintenance and enhance the batch processing and support the modernization of engineering pipelines and platforms into GCP, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and adaptable to our evolving needs.

• As a Senior Mainframe Developer, should take complete ownership of the application monitoring and Production support activities. Work with business to understand functional and system requirements to deliver any enhancements.

   

• Should be able to support the System Operations (24*7 On call support) for high critical applications, such as SAVE, SOVID and GLOVE - Application Maintenance of the mainframe based application (SAVE and SOVID), running in IBM DB2, COBOL, IMS-DB, JCL and IMS Transactions

• Work hands-on with the team and other stakeholders to deliver quality data products that meet our customers’ requirements and needs.
• Product Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing usage data from post launch, conducting user surveys, and gathering feedback.
• Customer Discovery: Regularly engage with POs and PMs to understand their needs, expectations, and define the features
• Leadership Reviews: Prepare and present regular product technical updates and performance reviews to leadership.
• Should play active role in Modernizing the Mainframe application into GCP platform, ensuring data integrity and designing for scalability and performance. 

• Has to follow the PDO IT solution delivery methodology processes within the GDIA organization and should adhere to security processes and support them on assigned applications. 

• Able to work on the production support of the applications in the defined SLA or CSF/ CTQs and should quickly act on the production incidents/ job abends and resolve them. Able to monitor the daily/ weekly/ monthly jobs and support issues as required. Co-ordinate with Business and team and with the end users team for details on tasks and provide status to portfolio review meeting etc.

• Data Governance and Security: Implement and maintain data governance and security best practices within the GCP environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

5+ Years work experience in IBM-DB2, COBOL, DB2, JCL and IMS-DB , exposure to in ETL and GCP tools will be added advantage.

Bachler degree in Engineering - Any stream.
