About the Role

Vedlogic Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Production Support Business Analyst to join our team and support one of our UK insurance clients. The Production Support BA will be responsible for analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to the client's Insurance Policy Administration System (PAS), while also driving system enhancements to improve business functionality and user experience.

This role requires a strong understanding of insurance operations, production support processes, stakeholder management, and business analysis. The Production Support Business Analyst will work closely with business users, technical teams, and client stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous system improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

  • Analyses, investigate, and resolve production issues related to the client's Policy Administration System (PAS).
  • Act as the bridge between business users and technical teams for production incidents, problems, and enhancement requests.
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure business continuity through effective production support.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Categorize incidents based on business impact and urgency.
  • Perform detailed analysis of system issues using logs and available data.
  • Collaborate with development and configuration teams to resolve production incidents.
  • Implement temporary workarounds when required to restore business operations.
  • Maintain documentation of incidents, root cause analyses, and resolutions.
  • Communicate incident status and resolution progress to stakeholders.

Business & Functional Analysis

  • Gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Work closely with configuration and development teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and estimation activities.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Testing & User Acceptance Support

  • Prepare and execute functional test scenarios.
  • Validate fixes and enhancements before deployment.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Support users during UAT and ensure successful sign -off.

Requirements

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of UK Commercial Insurance processes.
  • Experience working with Insurance Policy Administration Systems (PAS).
  • Good knowledge of insurance policy lifecycle, including:
    • CRM Management
    • Underwriter and operational workflows
    • Rating engine logic, design, and testing
    • Policy document generation and document management
  • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.
  • Ability to investigate data and system -related issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with technical development and configuration teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and production support processes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Business Analyst experience within the insurance domain.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, estimation, and backlog prioritisation.
  • Experience working on software implementation and production support projects.
  • Hands -on experience collaborating with development, QA, and configuration teams.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (or similar Agile project management tools).
  • Experience working with UK insurance clients will be an added advantage.
