CSA Lead – Precast (Civil, Structural, Architectural) – Data Center Construction

Lead civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) engineering activities for precast concrete components in mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, design coordination, and quality execution.

Oversee precast concrete design development, engineering submittals, and shop drawing reviews for wall panels, structural members, hollow-core planks, architectural facades, and load-bearing elements.

Ensure precast designs meet structural loading requirements, seismic codes (IBC, ASCE 7), data center equipment loads, and client specifications while maintaining schedule efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Coordinate precast fabrication and erection sequencing with general contractors, precast manufacturers, and MEP trades to optimize construction logistics, crane operations, and site access.

Review connection details, embed plates, anchor systems, and interface conditions between precast elements and steel structure, foundations, roofing, and building envelope components.

Conduct technical evaluations of precast submittals including mix designs, reinforcement schedules, finishes, tolerances, load testing certifications, and PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) compliance documentation.

Perform site inspections during precast installation to verify alignment, plumbness, connection integrity, joint sealant application, and compliance with approved erection drawings and quality standards.

Collaborate with structural engineers of record and design teams to resolve field conditions, RFIs, design modifications, and structural coordination issues affecting precast performance.

Manage quality control documentation including non-conformance reports, field inspection logs, as-built drawings, and certification packages for client handover and building permit closeout.

Minimum 8 years of civil/structural engineering experience with at least 5 years specializing in precast concrete design and construction for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities. Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required; PE license and PCI certification preferred.
