Job Description - Program Architect BMS & BMAGD


Program Architecture & Curriculum Design



  • Design, structure, and continuously evolve the curriculum architecture for the BMS and BMAGD programs, ensuring alignment with UGC/MAKAUT norms and evolving industry requirements.


  • Build integrated academic plans, course maps, and assessment models for both programs in coordination with the Academic team.


  • Benchmark program structure against industry and market trends in media, animation, and game design to keep curriculum future-ready.


  • Lead periodic curriculum review and revision cycles, incorporating faculty, student, and industry feedback.


Academic Delivery & Monitoring



  • Take overall responsibility for planning and monitoring of program delivery across the BMS and BMAGD departments.


  • Oversee routine academic operations – subject allocation, resource allocation, and scheduling – for both programs.


  • Conduct daily and quarterly monitoring of academic delivery for students and faculty members across both departments.


  • Ensure timely completion of practical sessions, sessional papers, and internal examinations as per university norms, with data entered into the MAKAUT portal.


Teaching & Student Skilling



  • Teach core and elective courses within the BMS and BMAGD curricula as required.


  • Train and skill students in Production – covering camera & lighting and on-set filmmaking practices – and in animation/game design workflows relevant to BMAGD.


  • Train and skill students in Post-Production – covering video editing, finishing workflows, and multimedia output.


  • Provide mentorship to students across both programs, guiding them through hands-on production, post-production, animation, and game design projects.


  • Introduce and integrate new technologies, applications, and digital platforms into teaching delivery for both programs.


Industry Collaboration, Internship & Placement



  • Cultivate collaborative partnerships with media, animation, and gaming industry experts for curriculum input, guest sessions, and student opportunities.


  • Coordinate training and placement activities for final-year batches of BMS and BMAGD in partnership with the Placement Cell.


  • Create networking opportunities and facilitate internships and placements, tracking soft-skill training schedules and progress.


  • Align department goals with the institution’s strategic plan through collaboration with the Corporate Relations team.


Administrative Responsibilities



  • Act as a passionate advocate for the college, promoting the strengths and academic offerings of the BMS and BMAGD programs.


  • Manage department activities and events for both programs, ensuring visibility in institutional systems (e.g., Camu).


  • Conduct quarterly assessments of departmental activities and incorporate outcomes into OKRs as per institutional requirements.
