JOB DESCRIPTION


 


  


Job title: Program Manager


Reports To: Manager – Product Development Solutions


Role Type: Individual Contributor


Location: Bangalore


 


 


Role Purpose:


 The Program Manager is responsible for implementing Strategic DE&I Initiatives to establish and deploy Engineering Systems at scale within SKF. These tools and platforms are designed to promote process standardization, operational excellence, platform innovation, and facilitate widespread user adoption.


 


 


Key Responsibilities: 


 


Program Leadership & Strategy





    • Define and execute the roadmap for assigned programs/projects

    • Align program objectives with organizational goals and ensure measurable outcomes.

    • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, IT, operations, and supplier teams.




 


Process Standardization





    • Identify, document, and streamline design processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.

    • Establish governance frameworks and best practices for automation workflows.




 


Automation Platform Development





    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of a new automation platform.

    • Partner with technical teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and usability.

    • Monitor performance metrics and continuously improve platform capabilities.




 


User Onboarding & Change Management





    • Develop and implement onboarding strategies to help users adopt the new platform.

    • Lead change management initiatives, including training, communication, and support.

    • Act as a champion for user experience, ensuring smooth transitions and high satisfaction.




 


Supplier & Stakeholder Management





    • Manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors involved in automation solutions.

    • Negotiate contracts, monitor deliverables, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and provide regular updates on program progress.




 


 


 


Candidate’s Profile:


 





    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or business management

    • Proven experience (5+ years) in program management, preferably in PLM, design automation or engineering systems and platforms.

    • Strong knowledge of automation platforms, process optimization, and digital transformation would be an advantage

    • Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies.

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Experience managing suppliers and external partners in complex technical programs.
