Role: Lead – Enterprise Monitoring and Observability, Career Level 7
Role Description:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Enterprise Monitoring and Observability team. The ideal candidate will have over 16 years of experience in managing tools and observability platforms, with a strong background in run operations, platform availability, compliance, and governance. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure seamless operations, vendor coordination, and adoption of monitoring tools across the enterprise.
Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Network Monitoring and performance management tools
- 5+ years of experience in managing Run operations for tools
- Scripting (Python, Shell , Bash)
- Monitoring dashboard creation and alert configuration
- 4+ Experience with observability platforms
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with cloud monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with RPA tools
- Knowledge of ITIL framework
- Understanding of microservices and container monitoring
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the monitoring operations team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align monitoring strategies with business objectives.
- Drive adoption and usage of observability tools across application and infrastructure teams.
- Establish governance frameworks for monitoring tools and observability practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support and licensing.
- Oversee compliance processes including CI onboarding, tool upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure high availability and performance of monitoring platforms.
- Lead and manage run operations for enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
- Deploy, configure, integrate, and administer enterprise monitoring tools including nGeniusOne, PAMS, and ThousandEyes.
Technical Experience:
Minimum of 15+ years of industry experience in administration of enterprise monitoring tools. Good understanding of enterprise tools architecture and scripting. Familiarity with observability platforms and log analytics is a plus.
Professional Attributes:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification and Certification:
Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
