Project Lead (BIW)

This will help you grow:

• Lead one of Domain from BIW & Hang-on parts development from Strak feasibility to SOP at vehicle-level.


• Single point of contact for technical escalations to resolve design issues.


• Mentor and guide Concept Designers, and CAD Constructors. (Team Size = 5+ Team Members)


• Expert in Surfacing in 3D to build parametric parts. Responsible for release of 3D and 2D data for overall Team Members.


• Approve DFM, DFA, DFS recommendations and ensure design robustness.


• Conduct DFMEA and ensure alignment with CAE/DVP requirements.


• Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.


• Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.


• Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

This is how you will help us move forward:

• Should have Expertise in Design and Development of BIW and Closures at experitise Level.


• Should have experience with at least 1 complete product development cycle.


• Provide technical direction, establish design strategies, and validate engineering concepts.


• Deep knowledge of Body structure, Underbody, Closures,  GD&T, Joint design, and Joining technologies (Spot weld, Laser braze, Hemming).


• In Depth knowhow about Sheet Metal Forming, Joining and Hemming Processes. Should be able to read and understand all type of related reports.


• Should have experience with Concept & Mastersection work.


• Work closely with manufacturing and supplier teams to drive manufacturing feasibility, propose solutions, and eliminate concerns early in the design cycle.


• Evaluate and approve Strak feasibility, Master Sections, Gap & Flush targets, Pedestrian protection, and regulatory requirements.


• Drive cross-functional reviews with CAE and Other Departments.
