We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Manager – Project to lead and oversee critical projects within the Chemical industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in mechanical engineering along with hands-on experience in managing complex projects involving civil, mechanical, and piping works. This role requires expertise in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), equipment fabrication, and heat exchanger systems. The candidate should be an effective leader with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution:
  Lead end-to-end project management including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of industrial projects in the chemical or petrochemical sector.
• Technical Oversight:
  Provide detailed technical guidance on civil and mechanical engineering tasks. Oversee activities related to PEB structures, piping design and layout, equipment fabrication, and heat exchanger installation.
• Design & Layout Management:
  Develop and review engineering layouts and designs using AutoCAD and ensure all drawings meet industry and safety standards.
• Cross-functional Coordination:
  Liaise with procurement, design, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure all project requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
• Vendor & Contractor Management:
  Manage relationships with vendors and third-party contractors for timely procurement and execution of fabrication and installation works.
• Quality & Compliance:
  Ensure all project activities comply with internal quality systems and external safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Budget & Cost Control:
  Prepare and manage project budgets, control costs, and implement value engineering wherever possible without compromising on quality and safety.
• Reporting & Documentation:
  Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation related to project progress, timelines, resource usage, and milestones.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and industrial piping systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of detailed engineering drawings
• Hands-on experience in engineering drying systems, layout planning, and equipment fabrication
• Solid knowledge of heat exchangers and industrial utility systems
• Exposure to project engineering and plant maintenance in the chemical or oil & gas/petrochemical sector
• Excellent leadership, team coordination, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight deadlines

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 14–20 years of relevant project engineering experience
• Proven track record of managing large-scale industrial projects, preferably in the chemical, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries
• Should possess a proactive mindset, strong execution focus, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment
