We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proof Reader to ensure the accuracy and quality of resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn summaries, and other client-facing documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of English grammar, punctuation, formatting, and resume writing standards, with the ability to correct errors while preserving the writer's tone and intent.
Review and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting in resumes and documents
Ensure consistency in layout, language, and professional tone across all client materials
Collaborate with resume writers and content creators to finalize and polish drafts
Validate and cross-check factual details like dates, names, and job titles
Suggest improvements to sentence structure and flow without altering the client’s voice
Ensure alignment with ATS (Applicant Tracking System) standards and readability
Maintain version control and track edits and final versions accurately
Handle urgent editing requests with quick turnaround times when required
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in proofreading, editing, or content writing
Familiarity with resume formats, LinkedIn summaries, and professional writing standards
Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, and professional writing style
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies and errors quickly
Knowledge of ATS-friendly resume formatting and keyword optimization
Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, and basic formatting tools
Ability to handle multiple files and maintain high quality under deadlines
Basic understanding of different industry-specific resume standards (IT, Engineering, Healthcare, etc.) is a plus
