Job Description - Proposal Writer

ANGARAI is a
U.S. -based program and project management firm headquartered in Washington DC
(National Capital Region), serving public -sector and commercial clients across
infrastructure, construction, technology, and professional services. As a
recognized small and diverse business (GSA, SDB, MBE, DBE), ANGARAI competes
for and delivers high -value contracts where disciplined, compliant, and
persuasive proposals are essential to winning work.

ANGARAI India
is expanding its team to support the company’s growth functions from India. We
are seeking a skilled, detail -oriented Proposal Writer to draft, edit,
and finalize high -quality business proposals, technical documentation, and
capture materials in response to U.S. client solicitations. Working as an
integral part of the U.S. Growth team in the U.S Eastern time, this role is
critical to supporting ANGARAI’s end -to -end growth, capture, and proposal
operations lifecycle — ensuring every submission is professionally written,
technically accurate, compliant, and aligned to client requirements and ANGARAI
standards.

Project Goals

     Produce compliant, on -time, and persuasive
proposal submissions that strengthen ANGARAI’s win rate across U.S.
public -sector and commercial pursuits.

     Maintain a consistent, high -quality content
library and templates that improve the speed and accuracy of every future
submission.

     Support the full growth, capture, and proposal
operations lifecycle so the U.S. team can pursue and win more opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

     Draft, revise, and finalize comprehensive
proposals, technical narratives, and project documentation in response to U.S.
client RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and task -order solicitations.

     Conduct thorough research on client needs,
solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and applicable standards to
ensure accurate, relevant, and compliant content.

     Collaborate across time zones with U.S. -based
growth, capture, technical, contracts, and management teams to gather inputs
and ensure alignment across all proposal volumes and components.

     Build compliance matrices and structure
responses to highlight value propositions, technical capabilities, past
performance, staffing, timelines, and compliance with regulatory and
contractual requirements.

     Develop executive summaries, win themes,
response letters, and presentation decks that express persuasive,
solution -focused messaging balanced with technical substance and clear
graphics.

     Maintain and continuously improve the proposal
content library, reusable templates, boilerplate, and past -performance records
for consistency and efficiency.

     Review and edit all materials for clarity,
conciseness, grammar, coherence, and compliance before submission — applying
critical thinking and a keen eye for detail.

     Support capture activities, including market and
competitor research, SWOT analysis, and stakeholder input that strengthens win
strategy ahead of solicitation release.

     Track proposal status, schedules, and review
gates (e.g., color -team reviews) to ensure on -time, accurate delivery to
ANGARAI customers and partners.

     Ensure all deliverables adhere to ANGARAI’s
brand, voice, tone, and quality standards.

     Leverage Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence)
for industry bench marking rather than blindly copy of AI content without aligning
Client requirements and ANGARAI’s executable solution values.



Requirements

Required Qualifications &
Skills

     Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
Engineering, English, Communications, Management, or a related field.

     Minimum of three (3) years of experience in
proposal writing, technical documentation, or business development; experience
supporting U.S. or international clients is an advantage.

     Exceptional command of written and spoken
English, with outstanding grammar, clarity, structure, and presentation skills.

     Proficiency in Various Office Suite tools, ZOHO
Writer, PDF Editor, Show, Sheets, ZOHO CRM; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint); familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe, or proposal/CRM
management software is a plus, such as ZOHO CRM, all AI leveraged.

     Working knowledge of RFP/RFQ processes and
familiarity with public -sector or B2B procurement is strongly preferred.

     Ability to work under pressure, meet tight
deadlines, and manage multiple concurrent proposals.

     Strong analytical, research, and organizational
skills with a meticulous eye for detail.

     Ability to work independently and under general
direction within a distributed, cross -border team.

Preferred Skills &
Attributes

     Experience writing for technical, engineering,
construction, infrastructure, or government -services industries.

     Familiarity with the project lifecycle, capture
management, and U.S. federal/state procurement frameworks.

     Comfort collaborating across time zones with
reliable overlap into U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

     Passion for delivering client -centric,
solution -driven content and contributing to winning pursuits.
