Psychiatrist

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental health disorders in community-based settings.
  

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  

• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
  

• Provide crisis intervention and support in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  

• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, community health workers, and other professionals for holistic care.
  

• Conduct home visits or community outreach when necessary to support patient engagement.
  

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with regulatory standards.
  

• Participate in community mental health awareness and de-stigmatization initiatives.
  

• Train and mentor junior staff and community health personnel in basic mental health care.
  

• Contribute to the development of community-based mental health programs and policies.
  

Requirements

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vulnerable populations.
  

• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse, low-resource community settings.
  

• Team-oriented with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
  

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
