Psychologist

Job Responsibilities –

• Provide counseling and therapy to individuals dealing with trauma, neglect, abuse, or abandonment
  

• Create supportive, trust-based relationships with residents
  

• Conduct group sessions to improve emotional resilience, self-esteem, and social skills
  

• Develop personalized care plans in coordination with social workers and caregivers
  

• Address behavioral issues and support conflict resolution
  

• Maintain confidential psychological records and progress notes
  

• Offer guidance to staff on handling residents’ emotional needs
  

• Conduct mental health awareness and life skills sessions
  

Requirements

Skills Required

• Deep empathy and cultural sensitivity
  

• Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations
  

• Strong counseling and crisis intervention skills
  

• Good communication in Malayalam and basic English
  

• Ability to work in emotionally challenging environments
  

• Team collaboration with social workers, nurses, and support staff
  

• Understanding of trauma-informed care
  

• Patience, emotional resilience, and ethical practice
